Work Space Alignment | The Hardscape Environments

workplace + office support

We are deep in the first round of Sacred Success Codes. When it comes to success in business and in our lives, it’s not one size fits all. There is not one strategy that works for everyone and the way you move through both should be supportive of, and supported by, YOUR unique and authentic design.

Environment is one of the many place we can look. First, when you are aligning with your correct Determination + Environment it is much easier for you to walk the correct path, to feel into what that is, while also tending to greater ease + well-being in your life.

The direction of the arrow itself can offer us insight into how we show up in life and our business. If your Environment arrow (bottom left) points to the left you are here to be Observed and you feel energized when you are in the correct environment. If it points to the right you are the Observer and you feel relaxed when in the correct environment, and it’s important that you have things to observe, to be in environments that call that out of you. Fundamentally, and this is ONE piece of our charts but, you will typically feel more active when your environment arrow faces the left, and if it faces right you’ve got less hustle in you, and there is nothing wrong with that.

On to some Hardscape environment tips below (landscapes coming next week).

You can listen to the episode here with additional Feng Shui tips top of show and a little bit of thread pulling.

caves

Have your office chair with your back to a wall, while still in command position which means you can see the entryways. Get a chair that fits you with good support for your back, that feels cozy.

If you go into an office, have your own transportation rather than public.

A home office is great for caves or at the least being in control of the comings and goings and having your own dedicated personal space. If you cannot work from home or enjoy going into an office, you DO need a small office and dedicated space rather than open spaces or cubicles.

Do you want to have more privacy, how might you create this for yourself? Curtains on windows, etc… of remote controlled blinds.

Do you feel safe and secure in your work environment, what might create that feeling? Do your coworkers feel reliable?

Low ceilings can be nice for caves or a basement office.

Paint the ceiling the same color as the walls or a darker color.

Carve out a little nook in your space for reading or taking calls for when you don’t have to be at your desk.

Get your lights on dimmers.

Have a grouding mat on the floor and keep your bare feet there while working.

Take your own lunch and snacks to work.

If you go out for lunch, choose a booth and one where your back is against a wall/corner.

MARKETS

You want your office to be up to all of your specifications. What are the adjustments and ways you want to customize each item to suit your unique needs.

Bring in fresh flowers and  seasonal touches, a bowl of fresh oranges is symbolic of prosperity.

Head to a farmers market or food truck pod for lunch where you have lots of choices OR that cafe you frequent because you know you love it.

Maybe have different spaces for different vibes like a spot where you tuck away and read, a walking desk, a place to take breaks roll around and move your body.

Do the visuals of your brand match your specific aesthetics? Your style? Does your office reflect it?

Have go-to work spaces if you have a home office and want to head into the marketplace like your favorite nook at your favorite coffee shop.

If you are Internal Markets, can you work from home most of the time? Run a business online? Have your own brick and mortar (both Internal + External).

Deep clean it seasonally as well as check in with everything to see if it, as Kondo would say, still sparks joy. Like pick up every book and see if it’s still in alignment with your current direction.

Keep the energy fresh around you. Don’t let it get stale. Move things around from time to time and bring in new energy.

Do you have a space you can invite people into (whether a physical space of online community or marketplace)?

Are you participating in exchange?

KITCHENS

Is it possible to work in a co-working space if you work for yourself? Or open floor plan, creative space if you go into an office? It is not ideal for Kitchens folx to work from home alone. You want to be around other creatives.

Follow the trends that feel in alignment.

Cultivate feelings of fun and aliveness in your work space? Where can you mix up the energy?

Does the decor feel creative? Kitchens has real art is life vibes.

If you go to an office is there a space you can create where everyone kind of gathers for coffee and the days hot goss? Think tanks? Creative brainstorming sessions? A book club with coworkers?

Can you create areas around your space for different projects?

Have living plants around.

Have lunch at your favorite bustling cafe, the one that’s on everyone’s list to check out.

Hit a public gym before work to get your energy moving.

Do you like the neighborhood you work in? Feel connected to the community? Have your fave coffee shop you walk to with that barista you really like who knows your name, etc…?

Take breaks to step out and people watch.

Maybe you live near the office or take walks in the city often. Create opportunities where you can bump into people and synchronistic opportunities can arise.

Tend to your Kitchen. Feng Shui tips for the kitchen in our home at the top of this episode.
