Prep for Chinese New Year | A List

We know I LOVE a list. And, I love looking at things holistically. When it comes to the cosmic trinity 33% of your luck is Human (aka your mindset, your emotional default settings, your habits, patterns and words), 33% is made up of Heavenly luck (your Cosmic Playbook for life aka your Human Design, your Natal Chart as well as your karma + the cosmic weather you’re in) and 33% is made of of your Earth Chi which is essentially the flow of energy in your environment. This could be linked to your AstroCarto (albeit a bit Heavenly) as well as your Human Design Environment, but is mostly focused around the stagnation or flow in your space(s) based on Feng Shui. I work with all three at B+F because they are all equally important but it also means that while it can take us a bit of time and elbow grease to create new neural pathways or transmute shadows to gifts in our Gates, we can make some small changes to our space that can have BIG results when it comes to our ability to manifest + create our own unique desired future. The one radiating from our core. The one already circulating in the realms of infinite possibilities… we just need to shift a bit to come into resonance with it.

One way we can do this is by honoring some of the long standing traditions associated with the Chinese New Year which falls on January 22nd and runs through the 5th of February. We are entering the year of the Water Rabbit which you can listen to me speak about here + I will be sharing ongoing Earth Luck tips in the Weekly Nourish. Here are some ways you can prepare and align with the Chinese New Year:

  • do some organizing, decluttering and cleaning before January 22nd but do not clean on the day or really do any major cleaning in the 1/22 - 2/5 window. When you clean on the first day of the New Year it is said to sweep away the good energy.

  • cleanse all of your crystals and charge them in the Sun

  • get your finances in order + make a plan. This will go a long way for you in a Rabbit year.

  • declutter your office and bedroom especially.

  • open all of your windows for nine minutes to clear out old energy + stagnation and let fresh new air and energy in.

  • tend to your front door.

  • wash your bedding and replace anything that needs an upgrade. We spend a large part of our life in bed, make sure it’s a place that feels aligned, toxin free and cozy. It’s also a good idea to flip your mattress.

  • cleanse the vibes with some sandalwood (or other resonant) incense.

  • recite or play mantras to bring good energy into your home.

  • take a shower on the eve of 1/21 but avoid showering on the 22nd.

  • pick up some aligned plants for the year like bamboo, a jade tree, or a money tree. You can place it in the Southeast corner of your office to bring prosperity.

  • put a bowl of mandarins out.

  • make any necessary moves so that you are not either borrowing money or calling on outstanding debts at this time.

  • if you need to trim or cut your hair, do it before the 22nd or wait till after the 5th.

  • reschedule any medical procedures outside of this timeline if possible.

  • get yourself something new (not black or white) to wear on the 22nd and maybe add a pop of red as protection for the year from negativity.

  • join me to craft your VISON if you feel called.

Throughout the time be extra mindful of arguing or quarreling as well as of the vibration you’re putting out. Watch what you say, as our words cast spells. Be mindful of negative language, low vibrational stories and thought loops, etc.. Don’t gossip. Hunt for beauty. Practice kindness to others and to yourself. Invite in blessings for you and yours. For every prayer + wish hold space for it to be for all. Let old standing baggage go. Forgive, forgive, forgive. Make a list of all you’ve accomplished and celebrate your victories. Celebrate the people you love. Celebrate life. Put your focus on the good. Practice gratitude for things you never think about. Follow your joy. Raise your own prana by getting into nature. Share a meal with people you adore. Cut cords. Release the old. Make room for something(s) new.
